J records will release “Soulful”, the debut album by “American Idol”
2003 winner Ruben Studdard, the Birmingham, Alabama native.
Pre-orders for the much anticipated CD are now over the 1.3 Million
mark, ensuring that the album will attain platinum status upon release.
Clive Davis, Chairman and CEO-RCA Music Group served as producer for
the album. The Underdogs (Damon Thomas and Harvey Mason Jr.) –
hitmakers for such artists as Whitney Houston, Justin Timberlake and
Mariah Carey – produced three cuts including “What If” and “Flying
Without Wings.” The duo proved once again that they are hot. The new
single from the album will be “Sorry 2004,” produced by The Underdogs.
